Cancel a card

You can cancel a card anytime, for any reason. Canceling a card will not automatically issue a replacement. If you want to cancel because the card was lost or stolen, there’s a separate process for that.

Here’s how to cancel a card without replacement:

  1. Log in to the Mercury account associated with the card.
  2. Go to Cards from the left sidebar menu.
  3. Find the last 4 digits of your missing card and click on it to open the card details.
  4. Click More > Cancel card.

You’ll still be able to see the canceled card in your list so that you can quickly review previous transactions.

Reactivate a canceled card

In most cases, canceled cards are unable to be reactivated due to security concerns.

That said, there are certain rare circumstances where our support team can assist you in reactivating a card from our end. Email help@mercury.com and be sure to include the last 4 digits of the card you want reactivated and the reason for the reactivation. Someone should respond to let you know if the request is doable.

You can also create a new card instead, which might be easier.
